Amy & Matt - The Old Hall Ely

On the day of Amy & Matt’s wedding, It mostly rained but putting the bad weather aside it was a truly wonderful day regardless.

I met with Amy and her bridal party first while my second shooter Liz went to see the groomsmen. I love everything about a brides morning, from the way a bride is so relaxed now her wedding day is finally here, after many months of planning and making sure everything is just right, It can be something of a relief to many couples once the day arrives. This is exactly how Amy was on her day, relaxed and letting all the professional suppliers she had chosen and invested in to make the day a spectacular one.

I first met Amy at her place of work as i was photographing a wedding and she was managing the wedding herself as she’s a wedding manager at another popular venue. No pressure there then!

When I popped over to meet her and Matt at their home with their two mad cats, I knew she was going to be lovely to work for her own wedding. Matt was full of laughter and his dry sense of humour was my cup of tea.

Getting back to the wedding day itself, I wont drone on too much as you’re probably mostly interested in the photos. Can I just say how beautiful Amy looked in her dress, absolutely stunning! And another note, even though it was pretty wet outside we still managed 10 minutes outside to do some photos, It was a blessing as we ran outside as it stopped raining briefly.

Here’s some highlights from their wedding day, I loved it so much
